And YES I am excited. STL Hops
recently posted that MoBev would begin distributing Founder's beers around Missouri in early May. Derek with MoBev
verified that they'll "begin selling Founders in KC the same day we begin selling Founders in St. Louis, Springfield, Columbia, Jefferson City, Lake of the Ozarks, Joplin, Cape Girardeau, etc."
Time to celebrate. I can already taste that Centennial IPA...
On boy. I hope someone in KC gets them. Founders is GREAT beer. I used to live in Holland, MI, about 45 minutes away from Founder's, but with New Holland Brewing Company right there, as well as Bell's and so many other local breweries Founders never came up high on my list. A few years ago they hired a new brewer and it really changed their lineup. I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteIf you follow the link to the STL Hops blog, Derek from MoBev was asking in which bars & stores we'd like to see Founder's. Go post! :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, a bunch of New Holland's stuff has appeared in MO - looks like a distributor picked them up. I haven't been anywhere other than Royal lately, but there were several New Holland beers there.
Thanks for letting me know! The guys from Founders and New Holland were in the same frat @ Hope College, which is where they started homebrewing. That was lucky! lol
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try this Centennial IPA considering I just planted some centennial among others. Grow strong roots. :)
ReplyDeleteI went to PA last month and picked up a bottle of the Centennial IPA - it was everything you'd expect it to be & a great display of Centennial's grapefruity characteristics. Their Red's Rye was also quite good.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the hops - Centennial's one of my favorites.
